  18. KPMG to build reusable NEXTSTEP objects for key markets

  20. Palo Alto, Calif., September 8, 1993 - KPMG Peat Marwick announced
  21. today that the Firm would provide a broad range of systems
  22. integration services focusing on NEXTSTEP, NeXT Computer, Inc.'s
  23. object-oriented software.

  25. KPMG has announced plans to develop reusable object libraries.
  26. Currently, more than one hundred firms are shipping ObjectWare,
  27. reusable objects for NEXTSTEP.  KPMG will be one of the first
  28. companies to focus on specialized object kits for vertical markets.
  29. This technology will provide a great opportunity for KPMG's systems
  30. integrators and consultants to develop custom software and
  31. services.  KPMG will be developing object libraries for customers
  32. in three principal markets: telecommunications, healthcare and
  33. financial services.  For the initial phase of the KPMG/NeXT
  34. relationship, KPMG will begin training engineers on NEXTSTEP
  35. starting in September.
